Nominee at the 14th Annual International Color Awards

Four Images Nominated In “People” Category

Happy to share that four of my images were nominated in the 14th Annual International Color Awards. Alas none went on to win a prize, but it’s still nice to make the shortlist!

The four images were all photographs I had made as part of my ongoing reportage on the COVID 19 lockdown in 2020.

Three of the images were made using the Panasonic Lumix S1 and the fourth (Of opera singer Julieth Lozano) was made on a Panasonic Lumix S1R. The lenses were all Lumix S Pro lenses (16-35mm f4.0, 70-200 f4.0 and 70-200mm f2.8). The raw files were edited and processed in LightRoom Classic and finished in Exposure Software’s X6 plugin.

Winning Image In The 12th International Color Awards

Merit of Excellence

Very happy to share that one of my images has won second place, a “Merit Of Excellence”, in the Professional Category of the Silhouette section, in the 12th International Color Awards. The image was kindly chosen by judges from 7241 entries, from 79 countries.

Many congratulations on all the other winners and nominees and my thanks to the judges for their hard work.

It was shot on my Panasonic Lumix G9 with a Leica DG 50-200mm f2.8-4.0 lens (giving an equivalent of 100-400mm). The raw image was processed using Lightroom and finished in Alienskin Exposure X4 on my Mac Pro, using calibrated Eizo CG monitors for colour accuracy.

10th Annual International Color Awards

Two Images Nominated By Judges

Delighted to share that two of my images were nominated in the 10th Annual International Color Awards. Alas no wins, but still nice to get a couple of images chosen out of the 6178 entries. In a slight departure from my normal work, one of the images was in the Abstract category and the other in Fine Art.

This was shot on an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II using a Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm f0.95 lens. The raw image was processed in Adobe Lightroom and finished in Alienskin Exposure X2.

This was shot on a Leica M (Type 240) using a Leica 50mm Noctilux ASPH lens. The raw image was processed in Adobe Lightroom and finished in Alienskin Exposure X2.

Happy to share one of my images was nominated by the judges of the 9th International Color Awards in Los Angeles.

It didn’t go on to win, but it’s nice to know out of the 5,678 entries, it achieved a nomination.

It was shot on my Olympus OM-D E-M1 and the M.Zuiko 12-40mm f2.8PRO lens. The raw image was then processed in Adobe Lightroom and finished in Alienskin Exposure 7.
