I’m delighted to say that I’ll be running a series of workshops at the Leica Akademie in Mayfair, London. The workshop is called “Leica M9 Interactive” and is aimed at professional DSLR users and experienced DSLR enthusiasts who would like to experience what it’s like to handle and shoot with a Leica M9. Part of the complimentary three hour course will involve  taking photographs on a Leica M9 and lens which will be loaned to you. You will be free to take home the pictures to peruse at your leisure and see what makes Leica’s lenses legendary.

I’ll also be showing a range of my assignment work, commercial photography and also personal work, explaining why I chose the Leica M9 and answer any questions you may have about the system and how it can integrate within your current working setup.

Photographer Edmond Terakopian stands by his picture "Love Your Job" which came second in the Driven Creativity contest and exhibition, sponsored by G-Tech. The Strand Gallery, London. October 13, 2011.

Wonderful evening at the Strand Gallery at the opening of the Driven Creativity competition sponsored by G-Tech. Thrilled that my picture, ‘Love Your Job’ was chosen as runner-up in the professional photography category. Several amazing images, including a stunner of a homeless man on the Millennium Bridge and some wonderful films as well. Well worth a look. Check with the gallery on opening times as it’s not on for long.

Photos of the Day

Really excited to share that a picture I made whilst on assignment for AP (Associated Press) at Sotheby’s has made the Seattle Times “Photos of the Day”. On an average day a UK national newspaper receives around 16,000 images; I imagine the large US newspapers receive even more, so for this image to have been chosen as one of 29, and also for it to be the leading image is rather pleasant!

Technical details; the image was shot on a Leica M9 with a Leica 50mm Noctilux ASPH lens set at around f1.4.

Image Chosen As Runner-Up

Driven Creativity Competition 2011

Love Your Job

Some great news; my image of a rain soaked businessman during a heavy downpour of rain with a sign displaying “Love Your Job” has been judged as the runner-up in the G-Tech Driven Creativity Competition 2011.

Congratulations to all the winners and runner-ups. A big thanks to G-Tech for sponsoring the competition and also everyone who voted for the image.

The image was shot on a Leica M9 using a Leica 35mm Summicron ASPH lens. The shot was the processed in Aperture and Nik Software’s Silver Efex Pro 2.

As mentioned in a previous post, the image will be exhibited at:

The Strand Gallery, London

Ofr Gallery, Paris

& Janine Bean Gallery, Berlin
