Picture Makes Driven Creativity
Competition 2011 Shortlist
I’m thrilled to say that this image has made the shortlist for the Driven Creativity shortlist and will be exhibited in London, Paris & Berlin. The winners are to be announced on September 23rd, so fingers crossed!
The pictures was taken on a Leica M9 with a 35mm Summicron ASPH lens and processed in Aperture and Nik Software’s Silver Efex Pro 2.
Many people voted for this shot to go through for judging and I wanted to say a big thank you to you all; very much appreciated!!
This photograph is absolutely wonderful. I love a black and white photo. Thanks for sharing this
Thanks 🙂
Edmond, while I view you as a great, wonderful, innovative, photographer after looking at those images in contention I don’t think its a winner. The “LOVE YOUR JOB” sign is distracting to the rest of the image. Please don’t be angry with me you are repeating myself again a great photographer, anyway way whom am I to criticize you.
Thanks for the feedback Stan; the “Love Your Job” works for me as it’s a businessman on his way to work (or coming home from work), during a miserable day – it’s ironic. Anyway, that’s how most people see it and you are the first to find it distracting – without it it would be more ordinary. However, this is the beauty of photography as it’s subjective 🙂
Congratulations. It is a great shot. Good luck!
Cheers 🙂
LOL… The photo loses all of its magic irony and juxtaposition without the “Love Your Job” sign @Stan…. think about it mate…..
Thanks James; glad you agree.
